The Sony Ericsson’s G900 is the step up from its new G700, with the 5-mega pixel camera and the integrated Wi-Fi. But the favorite feature so far in this is the touch focus. With the active camera, we touched a part of the clip we wanted to watch, and the camera successfully focused on that spot that we were looking for. All the cameras have to have this fabulous feature. The phone might not impress you with its Sub-par hand writing recognition software and the sticky notes, but there are plenty more in it to like. Still, the Wi-Fi doesn’t make up exactly for a lack of the 3G.

The Sony Ericsson’s G900 features the touch screen interface and the camera with very high capturing resolution of around 5 mega pixels. This is in fact is one of those two touch screen organizer phones that have been recently announced by the Sony Ericsson, the other being a 3.2 mega pixel G700 model.

The G900 model phone has all the functionalities of G700 with the additional features which include the higher resolution of 5 mega pixels in the camera, touch enabled functions of the camera, touch responsive photo album editor including the Wi-Fi support. The other upgrades of the camera include the picture blogging and the Auto Focus features.

All the touch screen functions of G700 mobile phone such as the “one touch” control, the finger navigation and the hand writing recognition software are supported. The Sony Ericsson’s G900 also supports the feature called “Quick Notes”, which allows you to write notes on its screen quickly with the stylus following by saving or sending them to the contacts. A gentle press on the Quick Notes icon is enough to activate a Quick Notes feature.

Broadband internet access through 3G is provided and helps the G900 to be useful for news channels, music and streaming videos. An RSS feature also is included to let you subscribe for the favorite feeds and for receiving notifications whenever a new feed is found published. Wi-Fi allows fast connection to the internet in the internet hotspots.

Few of the specifications of the Sony Ericsson G900 include the camera with a resolution of 5 mega pixels with 3x digital zoom, red-eye reduction, image stabilizer and auto focus features, a TFT screen supporting 262,144 colors and 240×320 pixels, an onboard memory of 160 MB, an external memory with Micro Memory Stick Support, 12 hours of talk time for GSM 1900, 1800 and 900 bands and 4 hours of talk time for UMTS 2100, 380 hours of stand by time, variety of connectivity options like PC Synchronization, Modem, USB, WLAN, Bluetooth, Opera Web browser, WAP 2.0 XHTML, WAP 1.2.1 for Internet, Symbian Operating System and Bletooth Steroe A2Dp, ACC, MP3 and Media Player features for music.
