Ever wanted to be on the first spot at every related search on your site? But you don’t know how to do it? Search Engine Optimization or SEO is the answer you’ve been looking for. SEO is putting in keywords in your content that would secure a first-page query result in any search engine. As a marketing tool, it serves diverse purpose. It initially is used to make sure that you comply with the pre-requisites of the search engine and the other thing demonstrates that you need to comply with what the market demands to have. And if you’re dying to know how to do it, then read on.

1. Choose keywords carefully. In choosing keywords you must keep in mind that anything you have decided on should be relevant to what your site is about. You do not want diverting your potential clients into others.

2. Be specific. Do not choose keywords that are very vague or would accumulate a lot of other related sites. Select something that is relevant yet somehow unique and perfect for your website. The perfect and relevant keyword is one that spells search engines to look at your site as a potential driver of traffic.

3. Go for popularity – but beware of the competition. You do not want ending up to be on the 245th page out of 300 pages of results. You have to make sure that you know how your competitors think and think like them. All good things that you see they are doing should be adapted.

A good example is like this. A designer perfume company would not put ‘perfume’ as their top keyword, rather they would try to innovate something that is unique to them.

SEO is not hard to do. It just needs some effort to make research and some nice and intelligent strategy to be able to work it for you.
