There are countless books and essays written on what the Law of Attraction is, or how to go about applying it to our lives. But a question that keeps bouncing around my head, is whether or not the Law of Attraction is real and if we are manifesting desires into our lives, or if our lives are just a result of our actions. But ultimately, if we get what we were searching for, does it matter?
In every system of spirituality there is one commonality. At their core, no matter what kind of “proof” one feels they have, the individual is required to believe in the existence of an unseen power. The Law of Attraction is no different. It requires a belief in the idea that the things we want most in the world can be ours if we but absolutely believe that the Universe, or God will provide them. If you choose to subscribe to this concept, you know that unseen forces will move and create events to return back to you those feelings which you send forth into the universe. And if you can wholly believe in this concept, then there should be no doubt that you will get that which you desire.
What I question here is, if an individual goes forth into an idea with absolute certainty, and looks at events and situations through the eyes of complete faith, is that person being given what they desire, or are they physically peeling away layers until they reach their goal on their own. Have the recent events in their lives been brought to them since the moment they asked for what they wanted, or only now because of faith, are they seeing things that have always been there to begin with. As a movie I watched recently posed, does God give us that which we desire, or does God provide us the opportunity to go get it (Evan Almighty)? Maybe, like any good Parent, our Father is just waiting for us to make a decision before He steps in and gives us a nudge.
Well, just like all systems of belief it is faith that moves you forward. Whether you choose to believe in a Creator of All, or just yourself, you are moving towards an uncertain outcome being empowered by some type of knowing. So, is it real? Well we can only answer that for ourselves. But in the end, no matter what you call it, if it got you off your butt and moved you forward does it matter?
