Over these past years one matter which has caused me great concern and which I have attempted to address is CORRUPTION.

When driving into Bethlehem leading a Pilgrimage I asked the Arab ‘Palestinian’ driver where all these new luxury houses came from and he replied - “From Gaza money”. And yet, the European Union and other Donor Agencies continue to give Aid in cash to Gaza and West Bank communities - where corruption is excessive - and to other nations too where sums of money appear to disappear!

We love to feel inspired. There’s no wonder the self-help industry is still booming after so many years. Books, tapes, DVD, seminars, webcast, podcast, websites, etc. Almost every imaginable tools are able to be part of the self-help industry. But have you ever thought that sometimes the best things in life are really free? Like the air that we breathe, so is inspiration, sometimes.

Do you have an idol or a mentor?

Would you like to have any mentor you want?

A mentor that you would love to ask questions about their
success to?

I have had many mentors along life’s path that I have been able
to seek guidance and answers. If you could ask anyone you like
in this world for business, life or even sports advice, who
would it be?

A Lance Armstrong? Maybe Jim Rohn? You could even ask Eric
Clapton or maybe Marshall Mathers what it was that drove them?

Being a successful freelance writer requires more work and dedication that most people realize. Freelance writers need to write every day even if they aren’t on assignment. Constant writing helps to hone their skill just like a pianist practices every day by working on scales and fundamentals.

The home-based freelance writer is a creature of habit: The habit of writing. He sits and writes, stands and thinks of what he’s going to write next, pores over the day’s newspaper in hopes of getting new ideas for articles, stares at his coffee for inspiration, and puts down at least a thousand words in one day.

Two brothers fall out, only in this case, it is much more serious and devastating than just an argument. I am speaking about Cain and Abel in the account recorded in Genesis Chapter 4. Read it and learn profound lessons.

The brothers were coming to God with their offerings. The brothers were coming to God to worship. The motive and intention was good, but one heart was bad and one life was lost. Abel brought a lamb to sacrifice and Cain brought an offering of grain, and from what we read he was rather proud of his workmanship and farming ability.

Procrastination seems to be a companion for most of us. Given enough leeway, we will put most anything off that we can. This is especially true for the activities we deem difficult. It seems that human nature is to put things off until the last moment and then rush to get them done. In fact, there are many people who take tremendous pride in being able to get things done just in the nick of time.

What we think and believe will inevitably come out in our actions. In one-way or another a negative attitude can make or break a relationship. The power of your mind is a strong force and can be used to do good with or can be used to do damage with. What do you watch on TV? Who do you hang out with in your spare time? What kind of people do you work with on any given day?

Do you know my friend Peter? He was an amazing character when he was alive. He was the type of man who would persist and never give up or even consider giving in. Of course, he was not always like that.

The story I am recounting to you can be found in the New Testament book of Acts in Chapter 10. This was one of the biggest and most significant breakthroughs in the world but many do not recognise it as being so very important. Do take time and make time to read the account for yourself. It is vitally important to feed regularly upon God’s holy Word, and not just thoughts from the Scriptures.

So many of us wander through life thinking we have everything together. I have a fool proof way to see if you really do have it together. You will be able to tell with one question.

Are you successful with money?

I don’t mean are you wealthy beyond belief. I’m talking about are you drowning in debt? (You may be and not even know it.) A good way to tell if you are in over your head is to list all your debts in a column and then all your assets and/or things that actually go up in value (like a house or an investment) in another column.

You may use this as a lesson plan and give it to a friend you care about. When a friend gets off track and needs guidance, you can give him a dose of old fashion wisdom. Ma ma is a hero and no matter your age, she still has a big influence over you because ma ma knows best.

The problem occurs with your friend because he knows better, but he is not willing to do better. He is not willing to accept responsibility for any of his actions. One way of getting him to recognize that he has a problem is by writing him a “Ma ma said no!” poem.
