Over these past years one matter which has caused me great concern and which I have attempted to address is CORRUPTION.

When driving into Bethlehem leading a Pilgrimage I asked the Arab ‘Palestinian’ driver where all these new luxury houses came from and he replied - “From Gaza money”. And yet, the European Union and other Donor Agencies continue to give Aid in cash to Gaza and West Bank communities - where corruption is excessive - and to other nations too where sums of money appear to disappear!

Two brothers fall out, only in this case, it is much more serious and devastating than just an argument. I am speaking about Cain and Abel in the account recorded in Genesis Chapter 4. Read it and learn profound lessons.

The brothers were coming to God with their offerings. The brothers were coming to God to worship. The motive and intention was good, but one heart was bad and one life was lost. Abel brought a lamb to sacrifice and Cain brought an offering of grain, and from what we read he was rather proud of his workmanship and farming ability.

The controversy surrounding Barry Bonds’ pursuit of the all-time home run record is well documented. If you are not familiar with the affair, there are allegations that Bonds used performance enhancing drugs during his career. These drugs, according to many, gave him an unfair advantage that players in the past did not have. It is this belief that leads many to feel that Henry Aaron is still the home run champion.

Procrastination seems to be a companion for most of us. Given enough leeway, we will put most anything off that we can. This is especially true for the activities we deem difficult. It seems that human nature is to put things off until the last moment and then rush to get them done. In fact, there are many people who take tremendous pride in being able to get things done just in the nick of time.

Do you know my friend Peter? He was an amazing character when he was alive. He was the type of man who would persist and never give up or even consider giving in. Of course, he was not always like that.

The story I am recounting to you can be found in the New Testament book of Acts in Chapter 10. This was one of the biggest and most significant breakthroughs in the world but many do not recognise it as being so very important. Do take time and make time to read the account for yourself. It is vitally important to feed regularly upon God’s holy Word, and not just thoughts from the Scriptures.

One of the most overlooked keys to a successful life is balance. It is a goal that is not as exciting as some other things. Nevertheless, it is the basic component to living a happy, fulfilled life.

We all tend to get out of balance occasionally. Where this becomes a problem is when certain areas take on more importance than others. This goes against our natural state as human beings. We have many different needs that yearn to be fulfilled. If not, emptiness is the result.

Self Talk has been identified as a free tool and endowment from our Creator which each human being is free to use to achieve his or her desires.

Motivators have explained that the degree of achieving one’s desires depend largely on the degree to which one controls his Self Talk, either positively or negatively. A positive Self Talk will ensure a rapid realization of one’s desires while a Negative Self Talk will end in failure and misery.

Every once in a while I meet great folks that inspire me to tell the world. Here’s a quick blurb about one of the good guys.

Jamal Weldon is a bright young man who works as a manager at the rental car company I use frequently. His upbeat personality, professionalism and attention to detail are a few of the main reasons I keep coming back to his company. There are at least 3 other car rental companies offering similar rates in the area, but Jamal’s business knowledge coupled with his ability to make me feel like he’s a supporter of my start up business increases my loyalty. Jamal is rare. When you do enough business with other businesses it’s easy to spot people who go the extra mile. I like to call them “Hitters”. “Hitters” standout. When you’re used to getting 2 star service and then someone gives you 5 star service, lets just say it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Some things you shouldn’t say in sales because they make you less believable. Take this classic. Customer, ‘Will this phone work in Europe?’ Reply by salesperson, ‘It ought to.’

What does that mean? The question is simple enough, When I get off the plane at Frankfurt, will I be able to use this item?’ What she or he wants to hear is either, ‘Yes, it will’ or ‘No, that one won’t, let me show you one that does.’

Nothing could put Him off.

There came that point in the life of Jesus Christ when He set His face to go to Jerusalem.

The Son of God comes riding into Jerusalem hearing “Hosanna” which means “Save us now”. Within the week, Jesus would be betrayed, arrested, falsely accused, illegally tried, crucified, dead and buried.

It is a day of emotion, excitement, joy, sadness, rejoicing and weeping, with malice, envy and hatred.
