One thing I have found in politics is that paybacks are often extremely intensive. For instance, the Republicans went after the Clintons for Whitewater and the Monica Lewinski matter and now the democrats have threatened impeachment of President Bush, attacked his cabinet members and slimed him in a character assassination campaign.
This is our government at work, and the question that comes to mind is - How does all this help the American People?
Alberto Gonzales is the latest political causality of the President’s power base, but the list is so long, that it is amazing. Why are the Democrats trying to prevent the President from doing his job and then complaining in the media when things do not turn out perfect?
It is easy to see whose fault all this is. The Democrats are destroying our Republic for a quick gain of a few seats here and a few there and recapture of the power base, still none of this Washington DC primate politics helps the American People.
It is time for the Democrats to concentrate on their own leadership and integrity and come up with a viable plan for the American People, so that we can review it and decide if that is what we want. As the Presidential Candidates promote their political agenda at the podium; I for one am completely underwhelmed and am shaking my head looking for substance.
Just because a Political Party can participate in the Blame-osphere, does not mean they are qualified to lead. This is not some silly reality TV show, this is our nation and the American People deserve more. Sincerely, Lance.
