Article marketing is dead. Blogging is now the way to go. Podcasting is going to be big. If you listen to what others are saying, you may just jump from one strategy to another, never be able to get it work for your business.
If you think about it, people who claim that article marketing is dead and other marketing technologies are on the rise, they are just naysayers who probably do that for one reason or another. Perhaps they are promoting their upcoming product related to one of those strategies. Maybe that is a just a bait to stir up the controversy and get publicity in the process.
Articles will always work if you understand the underlying principles. People are always looking for information. If you give it to them, they will want more. If they know you enough and your product is suitable solution for their problem, why should they buy from others?
To look at the statements above, blogging is just another marketing channel that depends on content. You can use a blog to publish articles. If articles still work with a blog, how come they claim article marketing is death?
Podcasting is also another content delivery mechanism but mostly for audio and video content. You can easily repurpose articles into other content formats with existing technologies quickly and easily.
In conclusion, people who claim that article marketing is dying soon doesn’t know what they are talking about. It is true that nowadays the competitions are stiff and it may be harder to get it work for your business. However, if you do what it takes to make it work correctly, there is no reason why article marketing won’t work.
